Pharmacy Chain 36.6 gave the daily receipts of one of its largest pharmacies to the charity Fund “Grant life”

09.10.2009

On October, 9th the flagman 36.6 pharmacy on Kutuzovsky prospect worked in an unusual regime. This day it was not only a place for purchase of medicines and consultations, but also a place for unique charity action. All receipts gained by the pharmacy this day, has been given to the charity Fund “Grant life”.

The customers were surprised, when they saw the playing children in masks in the pharmacy — for the children the pharmacy became a cheerful playground. Children looked for the hidden magic labels which helped them to find prizes, all together caught “a tail of a dragon”, drew themselves in the future… The visitors were told about interesting and useful work of the pharmacist, how medicines get into the pharmacies and why they are useful.

Looking at joyful children`s faces, their mobility and energy, it is difficult to imagine that they are sick of a cancer and have passed trough serious treatment.

“I am ready to repeat more and more that the children’s cancer can be treated” — tells Chulpan Hamatova, co-founder of the Fund “Grant life”, which helps children sick of a cancer. “It is very important to understand that all these children can be helped, if disease is revealed at an early stage. That`s why even the small help is important to us.”

Tired, but happy children accompanied by the parents went to drink tea with sweets, and employees of the Pharmacy chain 36,6, the journalists and the Fund representatives continued their communication.

“The action which has passed in the pharmacy, became one of stages of our cooperation with the Fund ‘Grant life’. We are glad that we can render not simply the financial help, but also involve our customers in it. Because the majority of them wishes to help, but they simply do not know how to do it. Now in many of our pharmacies the donation boxes are placed, so it`s very simply now to make the donations” — says Irina Lavrova, the Director for corporate communications and public relations of Pharmacy Chain 36.6.

In Russia over 5000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. But these terrible figures will not be so horrible if we understand that many diseases which therapies couldn`t treat earlier, can be successfully treated now, and it only needs money. Luckily more and more Russian companies understand the social responsibility, and revive charity traditions.

The holiday is over, the guests went away, the pharmacy on Kutuzovsky prospect continues it`s usual work. The children returned to the hospital where they will be treated, wait and hope for the absolute recovery.
